Removing Formula Stains from Baby Clothes

Baby formula stains can really be difficult to remove from an infant’s clothing. Given the fact that it often does not come off after a regular wash, many baby garments are often donated or discarded. The latter practice can prove to be expensive over time. Therefore, this article provides some tips on how to get rid of this type of smudge effectively.

Start by soaking the article of clothing in cold water before treating the stain. Doing so will make the product you use more effective, as well as get some of the residue off the clothing. Next, use bleach that contains sodium percarbonate to remove smudges. Utilise the mixture as pre-treatment or simply add to your regular laundry detergent.

If you are cleaning white garments, opt for a natural bleaching substance to apply on infant clothes. Squirt some lemon juice on the stained area, and let it sit for some time in the sun. Another unorthodox solution would be to use a mixture of water and meat tenderiser.

Finally, set your washing machine to the pre-wash cycle. This particular setting is used to get out extra smudges that may not be removed using the standard wash option.
